A 50% Growth of the Transit-Kazakhstan Exhibition
The well-known Kazakhstan International Transport & Logistics Exhibition Transit-Kazakhstan has demonstrated a record growth over recent years.
The Transit-Kazakhstan 2012 exposition will present more than 150 direct and indirect exhibitors from 13 countries of the world: Belarus, China, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, and Ukraine.
The Transit-Kazakhstan Exhibition is one of the links in a network of international exhibitions, with the well-known TransRussia transport and logistics exposition among others. Since its debut in 1997, the Transit-Kazakhstan Exhibition has grown into the most important event in transport, logistics, machine-building, and related industries across Central Asia.
In 2012, the event has increased the number of exhibitors by 30% and the floor area by 50%. The total Transit-Kazakhstan 2012 exhibition area is more than 2,000 square meters.
Three countries are represented by their national stands: Finland, Latvia, and Lithuania. It should be noted that Kazakhstan companies dominate the exhibition making up 44% of the total number of exhibitors. The top five countries by the number of exhibitors following Kazakhstan are Russia (18.6%), Latvia (10%), Lithuania (9.5%), Ukraine (4%), and Belarus (3%).
The railway transport infrastructure will be represented by the national operators of Kazakhstan (Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC), Belarus (Belarusian Railways – Belaruskaya Chygunka), Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsya), Lithuania (Lietuvos Geležinkelyje), Latvia (Latvijas Dzelzceļš), and Russian Railways Trade House (Russia).
The Marine Transport Section of this year’s exhibition will be presented by Aktau, Ventspils, and Batumi commercial ports.
Well represented is a group of manufacturers of railway cars (plants of Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Belarus) and cargo transportation equipment, as well as companies specialising in multimodal cargo transportation and logistics.
The exhibition business programme includes: Organisation of Loose Materials Loading into Maritime Containers and Big Bags. Ready Solutions workshop held by INPACK SYSTEMS (Russia), two workshops by STM (Russia) devoted to the issues of clarifying the new Customs Union legislation, and Estonia – A Sea Gate of Kazakhstan to Europe presentation by the Estonian Logistics & Transit Association.
On 20 September 2012, Almaty will host the Round Table Kazakhstan – A New Silk Way – A Bridge between Europe and Asia. A series of sessions is scheduled to be held within the Round Table to discuss such topics as: Global Trade Challenges, Transportation and Logistics Solutions in the Context of Integration Processes, International Partnership, and Intermodal Solutions in Container Carriage.
The annual Transit-Kazakhstan 2012 Exhibition is an important business platform for transport and logistics industry professionals allowing exhibitors and guests to get acquainted with the latest services and products, understand market trends, and take the right bearings for their businesses within the shortest possible time limits.
